THE STORY
Who we are
Aristea was founded in 1985 in Battipaglia, in the province of Salerno, with the objective of creating a solid and competitive company in the production of disposable tableware and containers. The quality of our staff, together with the marketing choices undertaken, have allowed us to achieve this objective in times far shorter than expected. Today we carry out our activities in a recently constructed facility that extends over 60,000 sq. m., of which 24,000 are dedicated to production and, thanks to a particularly efficient distribution network, we are present with our brand throughout Italy and in many European and non-European countries.
These results are made possible daily by Aristea’s specific corporate philosophy, firmly anchored to the concept of quality applied at all production levels, and strongly oriented towards the most advanced technology.
Since the early years of activity we have invested significant resources also in the Vending sector, both because it is considered an expanding market, and because we are convinced that the need for technically perfect products in this sector is even more vital than in others.
Despite having developed important know-how over the years, we have never stopped keeping pace with the times, always seeking cutting-edge solutions. Today, after continuous investments in the retail, vending, and catering sectors, we are able to offer our customers products that have a value that goes well beyond their technical perfection.

What we believe in
Our mission, since the early years of activity, has been inspired by the principles of quality and reliability. These objectives are achieved by paying particular attention to the product at every stage, from production to delivery. Our attention is not only focused on the design and production phases, we are also able to offer an impeccable and punctual delivery service thanks to some measures taken in the loading and transport phases.
Despite being able to boast respectable know-how, acquired in twenty-five years of experience, we continuously update ourselves to always keep pace with the times and satisfy even the most demanding customers. For us, creating qualitatively impeccable products is “only” the first link in a chain that is completed by adopting measures that protect the product and the customer until consumption by the end user.
We add value to our products that creates a relationship of total trust and collaboration with the customer. We operate in four distinct market segments: Vending, Retail, Catering and industrial food packaging.
The main activity is represented by Retail and sees us engaged both in the Italian market and in foreign markets: in addition to traditional cups, plates and cutlery, the extensive catalog also includes bowls, pizza plates, transparent cutlery of exceptional strength packaged in space-saving packaging, completely recyclable PET cups and the Fiesta line which currently comes in 11 different colors suitable for the most diverse occasions.
Quality and environmental safety
Creating quality means correctly identifying people’s expectations and satisfying them through the offering consisting of the product-service-information combination. In relation to the specific sector in which ARISTEA operates, working with quality means pursuing the fundamental objective of providing safe products, effective in use functionality and appealing to the consumer. To achieve this objective ARISTEA has implemented a quality management system compliant with ISO 9000 series standards certified for more than 10 years. The ability to generate quality depends on the excellence of the Aristea management system, in turn based on the quality of people, on the corporate values that unite them and on adequate operational methods.
The Aristea product meets the most restrictive safety requirements provided by European regulations (EC Regulations 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011) and national regulations (D.M. March 21, 1973) regarding materials and objects intended for contact with food. To guarantee these requirements with constant effectiveness ARISTEA manages the production process in a controlled manner, from the design and procurement phase to product delivery.
ARISTEA guarantees product safety thanks to rigorous management of the production process in accordance with the principles of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) referenced by EC Regulation 2023/2006 and with the principles of the HACCP (hazard analysis and critical control point) self-control system. In recent years ARISTEA has updated production facilities according to the best technologies available on the market. Technological innovation has also involved the organization of production flows, periodically updating staff training and computerizing production lines for more modern and effective internal communication.
Innovation has extended to creating a new facility in the industrial area of Contursi Terme dedicated to the production of PET articles, new products for the disposable market, transparent and brilliant, also available in colors, unbreakable and easily recyclable as they are similar to PET mineral water bottles. ARISTEA has established a partnership relationship with its suppliers, committing to achieve common objectives of product quality and safety. The raw materials and packaging materials used are certified as MOCA (suitable for food contact); each supply is certified by the supplier and controlled during acceptance.
Finished products are subjected to laboratory conformity tests in accordance with EU Regulation 10/2011 and D.M. 21/03/73 and subsequent amendments, for the determination of global and specific migrations in order to certify their conformity to the conditions of use expressly specified on the packaging of our products.
Products are tested for conformity to food contact under specific conditions of use (temperature and contact time), for all food types provided by regulations: aqueous, acidic, alcoholic, fatty, dairy.
ARISTEA has adopted a product traceability system compliant with INDICOD-ECR standards. Aristea products bear the traceability code on all sales units: on the primary packaging, on the carton and on the pallet prepared for shipment.
ARISTEA has defined a specific procedure for managing product recall, so as to be able to intervene in the market and resolve any anomalies while guaranteeing product safety to the consumer in any case.

Environmental declaration
Respect for the environment represents a fundamental commitment for ARISTEA, having awareness of the current level of criticality reached by problems related to pollution, waste management and exploitation of natural resources.
To achieve increasingly higher environmental protection objectives ARISTEA has equipped itself with an effective tool for controlling pollution and exploitation of natural resources, implementing a management system compliant with ISO 14001 standard.
In 2007 Aristea decided to adhere to the EMAS Community Regulation (Environmental Management & Audit Scheme), obtaining registration of the via Bosco Fili site (now viale Spagna) in the industrial zone of Battipaglia at No. IT-000872 on May 16, 2008 (now compliant with the new EC Regulation 1221/2009, known as EMAS III).
The management system sets increasingly higher objectives of “pollution reduction and control”, promoting constant improvements in environmental performance through the adoption of policies and programs subject to systematic evaluation.
An essential element of ARISTEA’s commitment is communicating its environmental impact to the public. Through the Environmental Declaration (downloadable from the website), ARISTEA declares the environmental impacts of the Battipaglia production site and the commitment made to improve these impacts, periodically updating the results.
